We are conducting 2 different workshops (1 day each) on 30th and 31st May 2009, introducing making jewellery in Enamel on Copper and Silver at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Bajaj Bhawan, (opp. Inox Theatre), 226 Nariman Point, Mumbai – 400 021.
30th May 2009 : Jewellery Making in Enamel on Copper
The participants will learn how to cut the shapes in copper sheet and create their own designs. How to enamel the piece, finish and ready to wear. Graffito technique will be taught.
All the material and required equipments will be provided by us to use during the workshop.
Timings 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
The cost of the workshop will be Rs.1500/- per person.
Max. number of seats: - 10
Entry is open to all interested students/designers/artists/manufacturers/jewellery business firms/jewellery makers who have keen interest to learn enamel in contemporary use. No any pre-knowledge in enamel/jewellery required for this workshop.

31st May 2009 : Jewellery Making in Enamel on Fine Silver
Introducing Enamel on Silver Jewellery
In this workshop participants will learn to make jewellery in fine silver and enamel in cloisonné technique. (Cloisonne is very less used technique in Indian Enamels. It has tremendous possibilities to explore into a new direction and create something which never saw before.) It will include cutting the piece in silver, drilling the piece, cloisonné with silver wire, use of vitreous enamels, firing vitreous enamels on silver and finish the piece. Enamelling on Silver is more difficult and risky than Enamelling on Copper so the guidelines for enamelling on silver will be taught during the workshop.
Except silver all the material and required equipments will be provided by us to use during the workshop. (Silver will be charged extra on the current market rate). Participants may bring their own silver sheet & Silver wire in 24 gauges and in 99.9% purity.
